At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, five new sports will be included in the medal competition, baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, sports rock climbing, and surfing-these five events were finally selected as the new major events of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The addition of these projects has attracted the attention of urban sports enthusiasts, and they will change the atmosphere of the previous Olympic Games. It also means that the Olympic movement has taken a big step forward.
U.S. team veteran Eric Kratz talked about the Tokyo Dream: "This is an incredible opportunity."
Eric Kratz, 39, is the oldest member of the US team. He hopes to win his second Olympic baseball gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. "You are fighting for something greater than yourself," Kratz told us.
The situation in karate is similar. The return of the sport is not only to give back to the expectations of the Japanese audience, because the sport is very popular here, but also the sport originated in Japan. Watching a karate match will be the perfect way to experience Japanese culture and traditions to share them all over the world.
The addition of these five major events adds 18 medal events to the Olympics. The Tokyo Olympics will also welcome 474 new athletes to join, witnessing their fierce competition in the Olympic arena.
The Tokyo Olympics has opened, let us continue to look forward to the wonderful performance of the athletes.
With the 2024 Goodwood Revival just wrapped up, I’ve embarked on my journey to find watches once again. Here are some of my favorite photos from my watch-hunting adventures at the Goodwood Revival over the past two years!
In the captivating world of horology, the mecaquartz movement stands out as a brilliant fusion of tradition and modernity, capturing the hearts of watch enthusiasts globally. This ingenious technology combines the precision of quartz with the mechanical charm of traditional chronographs, offering the best of both worlds. Jaeger-LeCoultre, with their pioneering Caliber 630 in 1987, and Seiko, with their robust Caliber 7A28, are the masterminds behind this hybrid innovation. Their inventive spirit pushed the boundaries of watchmaking during a time when the Swiss industry was rebounding from the quartz crisis. Today, mecaquartz watches are celebrated for their unique blend of quartz accuracy and mechanical sophistication. Brands like Breitling, TAG Heuer, and even fashion watchmakers have embraced this technology, making it accessible to a wider audience. At Wishdoit, we honor this remarkable horological marvel, reflecting the artistry and ingenuity that define the world of luxury watches. Explore our collection and experience the captivating charm of mecaquartz timepieces.
Watches have come a long way since their humble beginnings as simple timekeeping devices. Today's modern timepieces are not only precise and accurate but also offer a range of features that make them much more than just a way to tell time. One of the key developments in the evolution of watches has been the incorporation of real-time capabilities.
When it comes to affordability, the only name that comes to mind is quartz watches. They are more accurate, require less maintenance, and are less in price. But it doesn't mean that quartz watches are always inexpensive, and mechanical ones are on the other side of this thread. Both types come with minimum and maximum price tags, but finding the right one is always a troublemaker. But don’t worry, my guide will prove an ultimate help for you, so let’s get into it.
